Thanks for all your suggestions.
Baino, those are absolutely beautiful, but way too time consuming. However, I could get all the supplies ready in the art room and have the kids make them themselves. They'd enjoy that.
Fawn, the dough ornaments sound easy enough to do. I like that idea. Again, I could get the kids to make them themselves. Great ideas! The kids I teach range from 8 to 15 yrs old.

I don't know the age of the kids, but stickers are always big at our house.

Or you could make little kits with a recipe card for a favourite holiday cookie with one cookie cutter attached (if you buy them cutters in bulk, this shouldn't be too expensive).

Or bags of unpopped popcorn kernels with instructions on how to pop them on the stove or in the microwave (which I blogged about a little while back).

Though I must say that I don't remember the teachers giving us gifts...

Wow, you'd even take the time to personalize them?!

You could make simple ornaments for each of them. Asheya (at asheya.blogspot.com) recently did a post about making dough ornaments, or you could do something with origami if you're into that. Lots of ideas for simple ornaments and you could do a different one every year!

A friend of mine is a teacher and she made cute little Christmas Tree decorations with tartan ribbon and cinnamon sticks. Time consuming but pretty and cheap. Or gingerbread men, wrapped in cellophane. http://www.pickleberrypop.com/tutorials/christurnbull_OTP_christmasdecorations.htm
